Appointment of new Finance Director

Severfield–Rowen, the leading structural steel company, is pleased to announce that Alan Dunsmore will join the Company as Finance Director with effect from 1 March 2010.

This follows the announcement made at the Company’s Interim Results on 25 August 2009 that Peter Davison would retire as Finance Director 31 March 2010.

Alan, 40, joins the Board of Severfield-Rowen from Smiths Group Plc where he has been Director of Finance of Smiths Detection since 2004. 
He joined Smiths Group in 1995 in the Medical Division and held various positions throughout that business. 
Prior to joining Smiths, he was with Coopers and Lybrand in Glasgow, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. 
Peter will work alongside Alan as a consultant until the Company’s AGM on 3 June to ensure an orderly handover. 
Peter will continue to serve the company as Company Secretary after this time. 
Alan will assume key directorship roles within the Group including JSW Severfield Structures Ltd (India) and all operating subsidiaries. 
He will also have Group responsibilities in the areas of IT and Human Resources. 
There are no further details to be disclosed under Sections 9.6.13 R(1) to (6) of the UKLA Listing Rules in respect of Alan’s appointment.
