The new standard for composite and non-composite beam design in the cold and fire condition.

Main Features

  • Major advance on Fabsec® original SCI developed FBEAM® software
  • Includes innovative fire engineering module for the design of Firebeam®
  • Fire module is based on and supported by results of fully loaded fire tests at Warrington Fire Research Centre
  • FBeam2® offers an increased range of flange sizes and web thicknesses
  • Intumescent coating thickness range form 0.20 to 2.20mm in 0.05mm increments
  • Complies with SCI Advisory Desk 255 for the design of asymmetric cellular beams
  • Reduced partial factors for material strength and loads (appropriate to the fire limit state) are taken from BS5950 Part 8
  • Design guide and examples to explain the function of the cold and fire module
  • Free advisory service from Fabsec® Chartered Advisory Engineers

Key Benefits

  • Efficient and specifiable Fabsec® and Firebeam® designs
  • Easy input and concise or comprehensive output in clear format
  • F1 function key to activate help screen for FAQs and technical data
  • Delivers substantial economies through off-site application of fire protection, which reduces programme period
